Happy Thanksgiving to all you fellow Canadians out there!
There’s something about the crisp, fall air and the colourful leaves scattered on the trees and ground that’s comforting. Not to mention the juicy turkey and all the yummy food that goes with it!
This year Thanksgiving is a bit different compared to what our typical Thanksgiving looks like for one main reason:
We’re juicing it up on a juice fast which also means we’re not eating solid food right now!
Not being able to juice turkey and pumpkin pie (trust us, we seriously did consider it!) shifted our focus from the amazing food that usually occupies the weekend, to the amazing people of the weekend.
We’ve always known this special holiday was about more than the delish food, but this year more so than ever, we’ve realized that it truly is a time to celebrate the amazing people in our life. It’s also a time to be grateful for the amazing experiences, projects and opportunities in our past, present and future.
Expressing gratitude is a positive habit to form and we should all be giving “thanks” everyday, not just on one special day each year.
We’re both pretty good at expressing gratitude on a regular basis, but we’ve decided to take it up notch!
Enter the “Thanksgiving Resolution.”
Our first annual Thanksgiving Resolution is to express at least one random act of gratitude each and everyday. This entails verbally expressing gratitude to someone in your life for no apparent reason.
Maybe you phone an old friend that you haven’t talked to in ages and thank them for being an inspiring, supportive person or maybe you simply express gratitude and appreciation for a complete stranger or someone like your daily Starbucks Barista!
Whatever the act of gratitude may be, we know that it will put a smile on the face of the receiver and it will feel great for us as well!
We’re extending this challenge to the Juicy Geniuses Community as we truly believe this is a way to add more happiness and abundance to your daily life.
You’ll notice that expressing appreciation has a domino effect. The more you do it, the easier it gets and once you start giving positive energy and happiness, you truly start to receive more of this positivity back!
It’s a perfect wheel of reciprocity and it will uplift your life in more ways than you can imagine.
So as of right now, we’re starting our challenge and our first Thanksgiving Resolution goes out to all of you:
Thank you for being the amazing, powerful woman you are and thank you for being committed to living a balanced life of happiness and success!
XO and Juicy Love,
Alex and Leanne
