Juicy Friday Interview Series Week 36: Shannon Loeber & Mary Edwards, Authors of Wisewoman’s Cookery
Welcome ladies! For this week’s Juicy Friday interview, we went off the beaten path and found ourselves tucked away in a quaint cabin deep in the rainforest of North Vancouver. We spent the afternoon visiting with Shannon Loeber and Mary Edwards, the Co-Founders and Authors of Wisewoman’s Cookery: Food, Sex, Magic, and Merriment.
It goes without saying that our chat with these ladies was a bit different from our usual Juicy Friday Interview content. There were many laughs and some blushing cheeks. You’ll see what we mean when you watch the interview below. But first, a bit more about the Wisewomen…
Shannon and Mary have been friends for 27 years and started working on their Wisewoman’s Cookery cookbook 9 years ago. These best-friends-turned-business-partners began their enterprising journey selling female sexual enhancement goods that were loaded with chemicals and toxins. They knew there was a better, more natural way to awaken passion and sensuality and that’s when they began their mission to revolutionize pleasure and play! They travelled to Ireland and England and spent hours in old libraries, backwater pubs, and country kitchens learning about the art and history of food. They studied woman’s lore, ancient traditions, myths, poetry, and the connection between food and sex throughout history.
These are two inspiring ladies who have led quite the Juicy journey and have many tales to tell.
Tune into our Juicy Friday interview with the Wisewomen as they share their “Morning After Cornbread” recipe and some tips on how to pursue a dream in book publishing!
