We live in a new age.
Women are outnumbering men in post-secondary institutions, and clearly making a mark in the global economy. The day of the nuclear breadwinner, homemaker ideal is over. This doesn’t mean, however, that women have attained the equality that they deserve with their male counterparts.
It is still common for women to underestimate their abilities in the workforce, failing to negotiate for themselves and maintaining the majority of the responsibility in the household. Of course, there are many women who are powerful CEO’s, but–to be blunt–there really just aren’t enough.
In this video from TED, Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook, shares her ideas on why there aren’t enough women leading the world. Juicy stuff here ladies.
